Finding The Right Fit
Wearing or trying on a New Bra
Always start your bra on the loosest hooks, your bra will loosen over time, this gives you room to tighten the bra. If you are pregnant or have frequent body changes, start your bra on the tightest hook. As you “grow” you have room to loosen your band.
SIGNS YOU MAY BE WEARING THE WRONG SIZE BRA
Band Rides Up
If your band hikes up your back, it’s too large and isn't providing the required support.
-
Fix: Try going down a band size and up a cup size to keep the same cup volume.
Spillage or Digging In
If your breast tissue spills over the top or sides (the "quad-boob"), your cups are too small.
-
Fix: Go up one or more cup sizes so your entire breast is comfortably encased.
Gaping or Wrinkling in Cups
If there is empty space in the cups, they are either too large or the bra style isn't suited to your breast shape.
-
Fix: Try a smaller cup or switch to a different style, such as a plunge or a T-shirt bra.
Center Panel (Gore) Doesn't Lie Flat
The center triangle of the bra should sit flat against your sternum. If it lifts away, the cups are typically too small or the band is too loose.
Straps Slipping or Digging
If your straps are digging into your shoulders, your band is usually too loose and shifting the weight.
-
Fix: Tighten the band. The band should do about \(80\%\) of the heavy lifting, not the straps.
Underwire Poking
If the wire pinches or sits on top of your breast tissue, the cup size is likely too small or the shape is wrong.
